Skinfo Clinics offers professional light and laser treatments focused on improving the skin and addressing a variety of skin concerns. Treatments are performed using Nordlys IPL and the Frax 1550 laser, with each technology specifically suited to different skin concerns.
IPL can be used to treat redness, visible blood vessels, pigmentation, and sun damage, among other concerns. The Frax 1550 laser stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production and helps improve the appearance of scars, skin texture, and signs of skin ageing.

During an initial consultation, we’ll assess your skin together and discuss your concerns and treatment goals. IPL can be used to treat concerns such as redness and pigmentation. However, there are some exceptions, such as melasma, which may require a different treatment approach.
An IPL or laser treatment is not completely painless. The sensation is often described as a brief, warm snap, similar to a hot elastic band being flicked against the skin. Most clients find the sensation slightly uncomfortable, but generally very manageable.
It can take up to four weeks for treated blood vessels to break down, while collagen production also takes time to build up. For optimal and long-lasting results, a series of treatments is usually recommended.
No, your skin should not be tanned when undergoing an IPL or laser treatment, as this increases the risk of pigmentation changes. After your treatment, it’s important to avoid direct sun exposure for at least one week. You should also apply SPF 50 daily for four weeks to protect your skin and support optimal recovery. At the clinic, we can also advise you on a suitable SPF to use after your treatment.
After an IPL or laser treatment, your skin may be red and slightly swollen for a few days. This is a normal skin reaction and part of the recovery process. If desired, you can camouflage the redness with a mineral SPF from Colorescience.
Treatment by a skin therapist may be fully or partially reimbursed, depending on your health insurance provider, supplementary insurance plan, and the type of treatment. The clinic can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance provider. However, we cannot make any statements or guarantees regarding whether your treatment will be reimbursed.
